The Strathclair Arena is a year round facility. Winter time activities include curling, skating, hockey or simply enjoying a delicious "rink burger" and coffee on the "inside of the glass". The Strathclair Arena .is home to the Strathclair Agriculture Society Fair, as well as ball tournaments, family and school re-unions, socials, weddings, sales and a variety of other possibilities! Full kitchen facilities are available at the Arena and your rentals can be arranged through the Rink Management Committee.
The Strathclair Municipal Hall and the Elphinstone Memorial Hall are both equipped with full kitchen facilities, bar and hardwood dance floors. There are a number of local caterers to take care of your banquet needs. The halls are available for rent from the municipality for your next function!
The Strathclair Bend Theater is locally one of our "prize processions". Built some sixty years ago the interior is adorned with wainscots of tamarack milled by the builder Alex Kippen and Paddy Trim from the mill at Riding Mountain. The upgrading done in recent years has carefully maintained and enhanced such existing features. Thanks to the efforts of many dedicated volunteers the Strathclair Bend Theater has been revitalized as the perfect venue for live entertainment and seminars. The brand new, comfortable seats, together with the traditionally designed clear acoustics makes for a truly grand experience! Think of the Strathclair Bend Theater when planning your next event. Or join us for the next full length musical performed annually in the theater by the Strathclair Drama Club.
Camping, swimming and water skiing can be enjoyed just five miles from Strathclair at Carlton beach, salt lake. Thomas lake, located near Elphinstone, has camping and water sports including fishing. Many smaller lakes in the north end of the municipality and extending into RM of park to riding mountain national park, can provide the angler with an interesting time! Camping is also available at the lion's campground in Elphinstone.

Strathclair community school is a K-12 facility. We are very proud of our academic and athletic programs. New installations to our computer lab provide students with equipment to expand upon their computer skills our students enjoy such sports as: volleyball, basketball, badminton, cross-country skiing, curling, downhill skiing, soccer, track & golf. We have junior and senior band as well as a full elementary music program. Private music lessons are also offered at the school. Our school takes an active part in park west fine arts festival in music, poetry and dance. Our grade 3-6 take advantage of a Red Cross swim program offered in the fall of the year. A variety of field trips are organized by teaching, staff to broaden the learning experience. For many years we've been fortunate to host international students providing the students some different points of view. Every four years our senior students hold fundraisers and organize an out-of-province trip. In the past they have been able to attend Expo and Banff with educational and fund stops along the way!
Strathclair nursery school
The nursery school program runs 2 days a week. A room, set aside in the school has become a "colorful learning place" for our youngsters! They have close access to the school library, gym, and the playground which makes nursery school time a fun time!
Library
The R.M of Strathclair in agreement with the parkland regional library service provides for a community library. The Strathclair community center houses the library serving our trading district with a good selection of reading material and CD’S
Strathclair museum
The Strathclair museum situated on main street, Strathclair originally was the cp rail station. The building houses a myriad of the life and times of the local pioneer. St Georges Anglican church and a replica blacksmith shop are also on site.
Opportunities
In Strathclair, the municipal council is involved with the development of a new Commercial/Industrial Park. The property runs along the Yellowhead Route#16 Hwy. with superior visibility from the ever-increasing highway traffic on the busy route.
